Small Faces: Investing in Children & Teachers
by Johnny Otto, Executive Director

Choosing child care can be a challenging task, there are so many options.  It can be difficult to unravel the differences, especially when just looking at the issue through the lens of a family budget.  I encourage parents to think of tuition as an investment in their children.  Here are a few of the things that make choosing Small Faces a sound investment:

Well-Educated Staff
Seven teachers and administrators have already earned degrees in education and early ed., 4 others are working towards their degrees.

Low Turnover Rate
10 members of the staff have five or more years at the center (and five staff members have been here ten or more years!).

Flexibility
Small Faces offers rates and attendance plans that can accommodate everyone's needs.  Small Faces has contracts with the City of Seattle and the Department of Early Learning to ensure that all families have the benefit of quality child care regardless of the cost.

Peace of Mind
Running late? Need to have your child come an extra day or stay extra hours? Forget that public schools are closed or getting out two hours early?  Small Faces takes care of the planning for you.

Healthy Meals

Small Faces employs a full time cook.  Sunni plans all of our meals and orders all of the ingredients with the health and happiness of your children in mind.  We work closely with families who have children with food allergies.

Community
Our center offers the opportunity for children to join a community of young learners, acquiring the social skills necessary to succeed in the wider world.  We also reach out to the wider community including the other tenants of the building (ballet, yoga, flamenco, catering, opera) and the wider community (field trips and performances at the center).

Stability
You need childcare that will be available when you need it.  Small Faces has been in business for almost 35 years.  We recently purchased our building and are an established part of this community.
